Operating system version

Description of the issue

FileMaker Pro 13 has a ***MAJOR BUG**** when it comes to assigning a background fill color for an entire layout part, such as the "body" part on a form view.

If you are using any theme EXCEPT for the Classic theme, FileMaker will NO LONGER EXTEND THAT BACKGROUND COLOR IN BROWSE MODE AS YOU RESIZE THE WINDOW.

FILEMAKER KEEPS THE BACKGROUND COLOR RESTRICTED TO THE HEIGHT AND WIDTH that your body part is in layout mode.

This is absolutely terrible! We need the ability for the background color to extend to fill the entire window, as users resize the window in browse mode. THAT IS THE ENTIRE REASON FOR SETTING A BACKGROUND FILL COLOR FOR A LAYOUT PART!! IF WE DIDN'T WANT TO SET A BACKGROUND COLOR, WE WOULD HAVE JUST DRAWN A RECTANGLE ON THE SCREEN!

This makes absolutely ZERO SENSE why FileMaker would change this behavior on us. The whole point of setting a background color is so that it extends when the user resizes the window in browse mode. If we wanted a box that doesn't extend, we could just draw a rectangle on the layout!

Yet it works just fine in Classic view.

So now we are forced to use an extremely clunky workaround where we have to draw a rectangle, send it to the back and anchor it to all 4 sides, just to get the behavior that a background fill color used to get us.

So now we have YET ANOTHER object to manage on our layout, one that will get in the way of the object layering, and cause all sorts of other problems… when all we really want is a background fill color that works the way a background fill color is supposed to work!

PLEASE FIX ASAP!
