Email fails with files damaged or missing message (4 Comments)

Description of the issue

On attempting to send an email (for the first time), procedure fails with the message, "Some of the files that are needed are either damaged or have not been installed. Please run the installer to correct this problem."
Running the installer from backup CD does not correct the problem.

Steps to reproduce the problem

With a record displayed:
File > Send > Mail…
Default "Send via E-mail client" accepted. Client is Thunderbird (running); Apple Mail also available.
Enter a valid email address (my own)
Enter short message
OK

Error message above appears. Re-installing from backup CD gives no change.
Advice on Forum re Filemaker v9 inappropriate: Mac OS: HD:Library:Application Support:FLEXnet Publisher:Service:11.03.005:FNPLicensingService does not exist on my machine.

Expected result

Email message in Thunderbird

Actual result

Error message and no email

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

Some of the files that are needed are either damaged or have not been installed. Please run the installer to correct this problem.

Configuration information

Same failure with either of two different databases running, and with re-installed Filemaker 12 or current Filemaker 13. Both were downloads.
