Program crash during Send email script

Description of the issue

I use the Send email script step to open an Outlook email and populate the address line. It worked flawlessly until recently -- now it causes the program to crash 9 out of 10 times it is executed. I am not aware that there has been a major upgrade/change to Windows on our network.

Steps to reproduce the problem

Execute the Send email script step.

Expected result

New email opens in Outlook, the address line is filled, I enter a message, send and return to the program.

Actual result

I am able to send the email but upon returning to the FileMaker window, it is ghosted and I receive a crash notification from Windows. Then I must restart the program, and it will perform a consistency check before opening.

Workaround

I have to restart the program -- it frequently performs a consistent check.
