Description of the issue

I'm using a small database, used for years, where I have drop down menus and suddenly when I use the drop down menus the database freezes and the software quits. I've only noticed this since upgrading to Mac OS 10.10.1.

Steps to reproduce the problem

I made a copy (compacted) of the file and used this new file and the problem has continued to occur. I've gone into layout and just changed the fields to text fields and that solves the problem but because the data is repeated, it is easier to use the drop down menus.

Expected result

It has worked for years without problem.

Actual result

I now have a problem in that using the fields with the drop down menus causes the software to crash. It is a small file - only 223kb

Workaround

Workaround is to change the fields to an edit box. If you have a look at the screen shot I had all the teams in a drop down menu and the possible selections e.g. home, away, draw but I am now just having to enter the data manually because using the drop down menu causes the software to quit after just a couple of entries.
