I have two user accounts on my iMac, and one of the user accounts got slightly corrupt, it is still accessible but is not working properly as confirmed by Senior apple support. It's also the account used when the original application was installed. I created a new admin user account and can open and close filemaker applications, I had also reinstalled the OS. The problem is if I try to export a PDF to my local drive using the file save send record as PDF in the new user account I get an error message "xyz.pdf" could not be created on this disk. Use a different name, make more room on the disk, unlock it or use different disk. I can export the PDF to an external drive but not the local drive.I have no problem creating a PDF from the print menu. The problem is specific to the application. I also confirmed that the original corrupt admin user is experiencing the same symptom.
I found the following in the knowledge base regarding version of Adobe. http://help.filemaker.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/12003/kw/error%20disk/related/1
I have Adobe Pro V9 installed, and I also have reader 11. The default is adobe pro 9. Do I need to change the default to the reader 11 to confirm if it is the culprit?
