Description of the issue

I would like to copy the contents of one column of cells in an XL spreadsheet and paste them as individual find requests in File maker Pro using apple script.
I have Catalogues of product sent to me by distributors.
So I'd like to have an automated way of searching through catalogues to see if we have items in stock in our database based on a field like title or catalogue number.
Ex:
In excel copy cell A2
In File maker paste contents from A2 to "catalogue number" field and conduct find.
Then, repeat this dozens and dozens of times.

Can anyone out there help me?
