Issue report by Eric Jungemann

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

13.0.5 (all previous 13's, all previous 12's

Operating system version

Mac OS 10.10.3

Description of the issue

It appears that the new 10.10.3 Photos App breaks drag and drop into a FileMaker Pro 12 or 13 container set for images.

This worked great for iPhoto over many years. It is a key feature of our applications.

A workaround is to drag the photo from Photos to the Desktop and then into the container. That seems to work well.

But this is a big step backward for the FileMaker/Container photo handling experience
Thanks,
Eric

Steps to reproduce the problem

Create a file with a container set as an image
Drag a photo from the new Photos App in 10.10.3
The + sign appears but it doesn't drag.
It also doesn't drag if the container is preselected before going to Photos
It does work if the photo from Photos is dragged to the Desktop and then to the container.

Expected result

Drag and drop has worked since at least FMP10. Doesn't with the new Photos app

Actual result

That it will drag and drop as it did with iPhoto

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

Just doesn't happen

Configuration information

10.10.3
photos in Photo app
Any FMP 13 or 12 rev
This is a Mac only issue

Workaround

Drag photo from Photos app to Desktop and then into Filemaker. Works fine in that case
