Web Clips on iOS not opening FileMaker Go Database under iOS 8 (11 Comments)

Description of the issue

After upgrading to iOS 8.0 Web Clips created with the FMI App Maker no longer work. Tapping a Web Clip icon on the home screen that worked perfectly under iOS 7 now opens Safari and returns this error:

Cannot Run Script
Safari cannot run the script because JavaScript is not allowed to be used this way

Steps to reproduce the problem

Create a Web Clip with the FMI App Maker and load profile into iOS 8 device. Tap home screen icon.

Expected result

FileMaker Go database is opened (after Safari is launched and opens the fmp URL)

Actual result

FileMaker Go not opened. Safari returns error:

Cannot Run Script
Safari cannot run the script because JavaScript is not allowed to be used this way
