Description of the issue

This has happened to two of my clients since upgrading to FileMaker Pro 14.

It basically shows weird symbols for any text in the database. Screenshot is attached.

Removing the program and reinstalling it does not help, closing the program and reopening does not help. Is there a folder where temp files are stored in FileMaker for this? Cause when I delete the user profile from windows and rebuild and completely uninstall/reinstall it seems to work. This is very annoying though as I have to spend an hour or two backing up the profile and doing the reinstall.

Steps to reproduce the problem

Just open the application and open any database.

Expected result

Normal english text.

Actual result

Weird symbols like an alien language.

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

No error messages appear

Configuration information

FileMaker Pro 14 32-bit
Windows 7 w/ SP1

Workaround

Full uninstall with revo uninstaller to remove registry entries, etc.

Delete user profile from windows

Reinstall
