Description of the issue
When zooming a window (changing the zoom level) the current record, if opened, is committed, including causing onRecordCommit to trigger.
Steps to reproduce the problem
Begin editing a record. Either with an onRecordCommit script step and or watching get ( recordopenstate ) in a data viewer, watch the record get committed as you change the zoom level.
Expected result
It may be that this is expected behavior, but I don't think it's expected by users (or most developers) and the help topic "Committing data in records" does not list this as a way that records get automatically committed. If there is a reason why zooming should commit (although I cannot personally think of one) the documentation should reflect this.
Actual result
record commits, whereas the documentation does not indicate that it will do so
Exact text of any error message(s) that appear
none
Workaround
Awareness, for now. :-)
