Issue report by Fred

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

14.0.1

Operating system version

OS X (but probably Windows too)

Description of the issue

With FileMaker 13 it was easy to transfer attributes from a theme's style to another style, using the copy and paste button located on the right of the style name in appearance tab of the object's inspector.

With FileMaker 14, it became very painful, since the exact same operation also paste the style name, thus the object is no longer using its original style but is now a part of the copied style.

This behavior's change make no sense to me, since you could get the same result by changing the style affectation of the object B, in just one clic.

Additionnally a red arrow appear on the pasted style, which is simply inconsistant.

Steps to reproduce the problem

Copy the all state appearance of an Object which is using style "A" and paste it to another object which is currently using style "B".

Expected result

Object which is still using style "B" have now all state appearance of the style "A" and a red arrow appear (which is correct).

Actual result

Object which was previously using style "B" is now using the style "A. Additionnally a red arrow appear on the pasted style, which is simply inconsistant.

Workaround

Copy and paste all desired state using the button below, state by state.
