Description of the issue

External table linked by ODBC to MySQL

Inserting or editing a text field, the text is truncated to one character.

Steps to reproduce the problem

create a table in MySQL database with a varchar field
link to the table from Filemaker
insert or edit a text value

Expected result

the value is what was enetered

Actual result

the text is truncated and the field contains only the first character
