Access privileges are set up for a set of users that restrict edit access to some records & fields. In testing, the test user cannot edit those fields with FileMaker Pro and sees error pop-up about "your access privileges do not allow you to perform this action"(as expected). The same test user cannot edit those fields when accessing via WebDirect and sees error pop-up (as expected) *except* for container fields.
For restricted container fields in WebDirect, no response is given in Chrome (Version 32.0.1700.107) and Firefox (27.0.1). For the same fields in IE (11.0.3), a different error pops up, with different formatting, stating "Please select a valid file to upload"
Right-clicking on the field does show that the field is restricted (options are all greyed out).
Steps to reproduce the problem
Setup a FM database with a set of fields (containers & other) with restricted access for a test user.Load the database to WebDirect.
Attempt to use the test user to interact with the restricted fields.
Expected result
Restricted access container fields in WebDirect should show same behavior as other restricted access fields.Actual result
Restricted container fields show different behavior than other field types in WebDirectConfiguration information

Accessing WebDirect via Chrome (32.0.1700.107), Firefox (27.0.1), and IE (11.0.3)
Workaround
Haven't tried anything yet. Will try an "open custom dialog" box or maybe run "open URL" (but would prefer not to have to add that)
If nothing else, warn users of behavior.
