WebDirect DropDown fields don't show entire field value

Description of the issue

In Chrome and IE a field set as a dropdown menu blanks the right side of the field. The same layout in Safari does show the whole field value.

The full value does show when the menu is dropped.

Steps to reproduce the problem

Create list with a fairly lengthy value. Put field on a layout with a dropdown menu using the list. Display in WebDirect in Chrome, IS and Safari

Expected result

See the full value in the field

Actual result

Right side of field is blank in Chrome and IE

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

None

Workaround

None. Told client this was a bug and would be fixed by FileMaker... I hope
