FileMaker Server 13 stops responding to FileMaker Pro clients that are trying to access the server with Open Remote, Favorite Host or Local Host.Steps to reproduce the problem
FileMaker Server is running and all the status of all the databases are listed as Normal in the Admin Console. Apple technical support says that the application mDNSResponder stops listening to the network. However, restarting that service doesn't solve the problem. The only way to get FileMaker Server 13 to respond is to completely restart the server.Exact text of any error message(s) that appear
In the FileMaker Pro 13 Open Remote dialog box no server is found in the local host dialog box. In the Favorite dialog box no databases are displayed with the stored network configuration for the server.Configuration information
I turned off IPv6 networking protocol using Terminal and restarted the server. FileMaker Server 13 responded for a while, but is not listening again. So IPv6 probably isn't part of the listening problem.Note that this is brand new Mac Pro server hardware and installation of OS X Maverics and FileMaker Server 13.
