Issue report by Derek Knight

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

13v3 Advanced Client

Operating system version

Mac OS 10.9.4

Description of the issue

After creating a new table layout in a hosted file on FMPSA and adding fields using the popup picker, no fields appear after switching to layout mode.

Steps to reproduce the problem

Open the hosted file. In this case authenticated with Admin role.
Go to layout mode.
In the menu, Layout -- New Layout/Report...
In the popup dialog. Give it a name, select Computer, select Table, click the Finish button.
Answer Yes to "Do you wish to save this change with the layout?"
Select one or more fields in the Add Fields popup. Click OK.
In the modify Table View popup, click OK.
From the new layout in browse mode, go to layout mode (command-L).
Layout mode is presented, however the newly created fields are not shown.

Expected result

Layout mode should display with the fields added when the layout was created with the wizard.

Actual result

Fields are missing in layout mode.

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

No errors are presented.

Configuration information

Confirmed on 13v2 and 13v3. 12v3 does NOT exhibit this behavior when creating layouts in table mode. However 12v3 cannot see fields in layout mode for layouts created with 13v2 and 13v3 in this manner.

Workaround

If using FM13, create your initial layouts using form view. Then switch to table view after the fields are established and the layout saved.

Alternatively, use FileMaker 12.x to create the table layout.
