Filemaker 13 Footer sometimes interferes with printing a sub summarized line item (1 Comment)

Description of the issue

If line items are sub summarized in a report, and a Footer is present, then if the sub summarized output is broken at the end of a page so that only the the sub summary field is printed, the first line item of that sub summarized group might not print on the next page.

Steps to reproduce the problem

Create a report that sub summarizes line items and give it a Footer that prints on every page. Fill the database with enough line items so that that report finds it can only print the sub summary field at the bottom of the first page.

Expected result

All line items will be printed.

Actual result

The first line item of the sub summary group is skipped when that sub summary prints only the sub summary field at the bottom of the first page.

Configuration information

I have a zip file that contains the solution to examine that clearly shows this problem, along with an MP4 file that demonstrates it. You'll need the MP4 file to really see what to do to reproduce it. The zip file that contains the solution and MP4 file is about 28.5 mb.

Workaround

Move the Footer to the Trailing Grand Summary section.
