Description of the issue

I have been using FM for 16 years and have never had this problem. Have always done a find in a date field using the range operator. 12/1/14...2/2/15. It is no longer allowing me to do this. I keep getting a message error telling me the date format is incorrect. Any ideas? Has something changed that I don't know about.
