We use a custom menu set throughout all of our FileMaker Pro solutions. We have changed the command-V keyboard shortcut from the "Paste" command to the "Paste Without Style" command. This is a very handy & useful trick for FileMaker developers to use, because it prevents users from pasting formatted/styled text into their FileMaker databases (from a website or other external data source).
This works perfectly fine throughout all of FileMaker Pro EXCEPT in one location: CUSTOM DIALOG INPUT FIELDS.
When trying to paste data into a custom dialog's input field, it will not respond to the command-v keyboard shortcut if that keyboard shortcut is set to the "Paste Without Style" command. Custom Dialog Input Fields will only respond to the command-v keyboard shortcut if it is set to the standard "Paste" command.
So, every time we bring up a custom dialog box with input fields, we are forced to:
(1) install the standard FileMaker menu set
(2) show the custom dialog box
(3) re-install the custom menu set afterwards.
It would be great if this problem could be eliminated altogether by allowing the input fields in the custom dialog boxes to respond to "Paste Without Style".
Thanks!
