iOS 6.1.3Description of the issue
When I am connected to a database on a Filemaker Pro 12 server (hosted by my university) via Filemaker Go for iPad (on a fourth-generation iPad), uploading an audio file to a container field disrupts the connection to the server, and any data entered since the last save of the record is lost. Upon reconnect, I receive the following Error: "Your record changes cannot be saved because this record was modified by another user while you were disconnected." This occurs consistently (and I am the only one connected to the server). In sum, the upload of an audio file disrupts the connection to the server, but the server still thinks the iPad is modifying the database, even though its connection has been disrupted. The serious issue is that the data is lost every time.I am connected over a 3G internet connection (current data speed according to speedtest.net is 1.56 MBps download, 1.37 MBps upload), however, the audio files where I have replicated this error over and over are less than 1 MB.
Steps to reproduce the problem
1. Connect to a FMPro database hosted on a FMPro 12 Server.2. Enter text data
3. Record and upload (over a 3G connection) a 1-minute audio file to a container field in the server database.
AT THIS POINT, FILEMAKER GO HANGS UP A BIT ON THE RECORDING WINDOW, AND THE CONNECTION TO THE SERVER IS USUALLY DISRUPTED, WITH THE MESSAGE: "Confirm: Communication with the host was interrupted. Do you want to try to reconnect?"
4. Click Yes.
5. Start entering additional data or select "Save Record" from the toolbar.
THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE POPS UP: "Error: Your record changes cannot be saved because this record was modified by another user while you were disconnected."
Expected result
Since these audio files being created are typically less than one megabyte, I expect that even over a 3G connection they should be able to be successfully uploaded to a database on a FMPro Server.Actual result
The uploading of such files more frequently than not (but not every time) disrupts the connection to the server database rather than simply uploading. This disruption is further complicated by the fact that upon reconnection, the server doesn't allow the iPad to modify the record because it still thinks the data is being changed by the iPad (as if it never disconnected in the first place). This makes the use of Filemaker Go to access databases on a Filemaker 12 server completely impossible, since my database has a good number of container fields, hence seriously debilitating mobile data collection possibilities.
