Issue report by Enrico Nicolis

Product

FileMaker Server

Version

11 Advanced

Operating system version

Mac OS X 10.6.8

Description of the issue

Hi

I have FileMaker 11 (11.05.5.510) server advanced installed on a Mac OS X Server 10.6 (snow leopard).
Suddenly, after installing the last security update from Apple (Security update 2013-03) it was impossible to administer the server through the usual connection http://<myhost>:16000 ; the page results as unreachable.
Besides this fact, the database and the internet web publishing (IWP) are functioning correctly.

As of now, what I've seen is that:
- the TCP port 16000 seems to be inactive, it isn't showed up through a "netstat -a" command
- the Java version has been updated from the "Security update 2013-03" installation. Suspecting a Java role in this behavior, I have updated Java to the last version available from Apple. A "java -version" command now reports
java version "1.6.0_51"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_51-b11-457-10M4509)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.51-b01-457, mixed mode)

(before it was reporting 10M4508)

Has anybody a suggestion about a possible way to resolve the problem ?

Thank you
Enrico

Steps to reproduce the problem

Connection to http://<myhost>:16000

Expected result

FileMaker server administration site

Actual result

None (the site is unreachable)
