When I use "Export Field Contents" with a text field (full of HTML) to a file named "VMSG_Report.htm" using Internet Explorer (9 or 11), the file extension is truncated (becomes just "VMSG_Report". The export works great in Google Chrome and Firefox. Without the file extension in IE, the browser cannot automatically open the file without saving it first as a .htm file. The user has to first save the file then open it and select the browser app.Steps to reproduce the problem
Create a global field with some HTML code. Create a script to Export Field Contents to file:VMSG_Report.htm checked to automatically open. Using IE 9 or IE 11 (didn't test on 10), export the file.Expected result
A file named VMSG_Report.htm will automatically open in a browser windowActual result
IE prompts the user to save a file called "VMSG_Report" with no extension. IE 11 will then prompt the user to open the file and provides a choice of applications (unless the file is saved with a .htm extension)Exact text of any error message(s) that appear
N/AWorkaround
Use Chrome or FirefoxScreenshot
